Rang up this afternoon, ready to pick it up from the garage. This time they've said the seats are unsafe to sit in because they move a little when your not sat in them!!
Even mini sport have said its rubbish

Who is doing the MOT? Might be worth trying to cable tie them down around the seat frame and the hoop on the floor.

Check this out Chris

http://www.motuk.com/Appeal-against-MOT-Inspection.asp

If you feel that they have wrongly assessed the situation as it is now then proceed with an appeal. If you also feel that they lack understanding with the rectifications you have carried out with the assistance of other professionals then also appeal.

Have you googled the garage for others that have had problems with their MOT activity?

Chris,
I would seriously consider taking it elsewhere, some of the issues they have highlighted are in my opinion nothing more than trivial and its sounds like they are really being a bit anal.
The Mini seats in an old 60's car move around quite significantly seeing as they are only bolted at the front and not the rear

If you have seen josty s car? I'm sure yours will pass if you take it there.
